Abdul (Muta) is a Fulbright Alumni with nearly eight years of experience teaching, creating digital materials, translating, and organizing foreign language programs. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Education from The University of Dar es Salaam, an M.Ed. from the University of the People, and the MA TESOL he is currently pursuing as a Daryl and Glenda Minor Fellow at Michigan State University. Muta is ecstatic with his accomplishments, particularly the connections he has established between his two teaching positions, one at an international school in Tanzania (United World College East Africa) and the other at Michigan State University. His new role as a partnership fundraising associate at Asante Africa Foundation allows him to combine his interests in project management and writing, allowing him to contribute to Asante Africa’s mission of transforming the lives of East African youth through skill-building and education.
