Join us live as we celebrate the incredible triumphs of our youth in tackling the most pressing challenges facing their communities.
Our upcoming “Unleashing Youth Potential” panel shines a spotlight on four inspiring youth from Asante Africa Foundation who prove that age is no barrier to making a significant impact on society. Through their dedication, passion, and innovative ideas, they have transcended the confines of academic walls and are creating lasting change in their communities.
Whether it’s championing climate action, advancing girls’ rights, paying it forward, or using digital skills for good, they serve as beacons of hope and inspiration worldwide. At the end of the session you will have a chance to engage in a Q&A session with the youth and our moderator Samson Nyongesa.

YOUTH CHANGE MAKERS
Monica Ntayia, Kenya
Climate Action & Community Organizer
Meet Monica, a compassionate Asante Africa alumni and Egerton University student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Her transformative experience at the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Incubator Summit empowered her with leadership skills and a drive to make a positive impact on her community by planting trees and educating others on ways to help stop climate change. Monica advocates for the rights of people with disabilities and less fortunate individuals while mentoring youth her age and providing sanitary towels to underprivileged girls and supporting an orphan’s education with her friends. Monica’s love and care extend to the Walk Academy Center, where she spreads joy through activities and addresses mental health topics. As a role model, she strives to empower her community and inspire young girls to pursue their dreams without discrimination.
Ainebyoona Onesmus, Uganda
Entrepreneurship & Climate Activist
Meet entrepreneur-extraordinaire Onesmus! From a young age Onesmus always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Then as a student at Bufunjo Secondary School in Uganda, he joined the school’s Asante Africa Foundation club. He went on to participate in the Enterprise Challenge as well. These opportunities empowered him with communication skills, customer service training and most importantly, resilience. He applied this knowledge to expand his personal business of hog farming to cattle ranching. Despite being personally successful, Onesmus didn’t stop there. He now works as a consultant to youth in his village and is often found collaborating to discover better agricultural practices, and helping fellow farmers succeed.
Samira Mwamweta, Tanzania
Girl’s Education & Health Advocate
Samira is a motivated and proactive Form Four student at Shambalai Secondary School. With a track record as the former head girl at her school and a club mentor for her Asante Africa school-based club, she exemplifies leadership and dedication. Samira’s outgoing nature led her to collaborate with friends to initiate a female hygiene support campaign, providing fellow students from low-income families with affordable or free pads to ensure they don’t miss class sessions. Her passion for empowering others and creating a positive impact in her community shines through her actions and initiatives.
Boniface Loisherua, Kenya
Digital Skills & Youth Advocate
Boniface is an inspiring testament to the power of the coalescence of resources and dedication. After enrolling in the Youth Livelihoods Program, Boniface rose to become a successful radio presenter, using his platform to amplify the voices of underrepresented youth and shed light on the struggles faced by the less fortunate. With the technical skills he acquired as an Education Technology Technician under our Digital Transformation program, he made his mark at Watchman Radio, hosting a gospel show catering to workers’ relaxation needs. Over time, his passion and hard work led to his own daily show, where he addresses the concerns of the youth and inspires them to overcome challenges.
