Lillian’s efforts to keep her community safe and informed during cover-19, Uganda

Lillian, an Asante Africa Foundation alumna from Uganda, is going the extra mile to help her community in the fight against COVID-19. She shared preventative measures that help to limit the spread of the virus with a group of young children in the neighborhood in the local language, Luganda. Lillian demonstrated how to properly wash hands and encouraged them to do this often. She also encouraged the children to avoid touching their faces, to cough and sneeze into their elbows, and to practice social distancing. In addition, Lillian taught the children how to safely use both the reusable and single-use masks.
