Where Impact Meets Action: Be the Difference This December

Dec 5, 2025

More than ever before the success of our most vital charitable institutions depends on…us. Whether it’s a lack of governmental support, state or country unrest, or an uncertain economy causing corporate dollars to dry up, it’s clear that the missions that matter most need our help.

Asante Africa Foundation is no different. While corporate giving, grants and in-country programs are certainly a component of our funding, that percentage is small compared to the generous individuals and family foundations who provide the resources to help further our mission.

And for almost 20 years now, the mission is still the same: to alleviate poverty and create the leaders of tomorrow by empowering the development of educated and resilient East African youth.

By partnering locally with parents, community leaders and staff in the rural communities of Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya we’re able to administer programs that advance education, skill development, and employability for future leaders.

Without that intervention these children (and their communities) face futures filled with a lack of education, poverty, outdated cultural beliefs (early marriage) and gender based violence.

December 31 marks the end of the year for charitable giving so donate today to create opportunities and empowerment tomorrow.

Why Give to Asante Africa Foundation

There’s no doubt that there are many well deserving organizations that need support. But we’re passionate that there’s no better calling than a child’s future.

Whether it’s a scholarship, learning advanced digital skills, or a holistic life skills program for young girls, the strength of our programs is that they reinforce a “learn, do, teach” mantra. So when one young life is positively impacted, they are inspired to pass it on by positively impacting the lives of those in their communities.

This real change is exemplified in stories like Nancy’s

After initially dropping out of school for financial reasons, she later completed her studies aided by a scholarship from Asante Africa. She then joined DEEP – the Digital Employability and Entrepreneurship Program, which led to her certification in software management and operations. Now, Nancy is employed and training others at the supermarket where her digital skills help her stand out.

Did you know55% of donations to Asante Africa Foundation are by individuals and family foundations, while 13% comes from corporations and grants, and 8% is supplied by the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, and others.

What to know about deadlines for end of year charitable giving:

  • Donating by credit card: The donation is credited on the date the charge is made, so the charge must be dated on or before December 31st.
  • Donating by check: The gift is considered made on the postmark date, so be sure your check is mailed by December 31st.
  • If you’re donating stock: the assets must be received and posted by December 31.

Start a landslide, by throwing a small pebble down a mountain

There’s no better reason to donate than when your gift is matched 1:1. You have the chance to create a more positive impact with your actions by donating today.

Take it from Jay Davis, who, together with his wife (Mary), the Quest Foundation, and Joy Reed, is providing that 1:1 match of up to $100,000 through December 31, 2025.

And money isn’t the only way to donate, you can elect alternative giving methods such as frequent flyer miles, IRA contributions or through your corporation.

Finally, if you itemize your taxes, giving in 2025 could offer you better tax benefits than waiting until 2026, when new limits on the charitable tax deduction will go into effect and new laws introduce complexity into charitable giving.

Asante Africa Foundation’s Impact

Since 2007, we’ve empowered the education of East Africa’s youth so they can address life’s challenges in a confident way, thrive in the global economy, and catalyze positive change in their life and that of their community.

We work within the existing education systems to help the students succeed academically by creating curriculum made for students in East Africa with the help of local communities and  government.

In that time there have been:

  • 300,000 lives directly impacted
  • 1,500,000 people reached
  • 522 communities directly impacted

For your end of year charitable giving, consider Asante Africa Foundation and turn your action into a positive impact.
