Give Back, Get Back: Charitable Donation Tax Deductions Are a Win-Win for Education

Dec 12, 2023

With the last day for tax deductions in the United States being New Year’s Eve, December 31, we encourage you to make those charitable donations as soon as possible for the utmost benefit!

Far too often, linking tax deductions to donations is considered taboo. It may seem to some that the ulterior motive is for the tax break. That should not be the case. When you choose to donate, you ignite a cycle of positive change. A textbook can open a world of knowledge for a child, while access to digital technology can pave the way for a future leader. Your charitable donations equip classrooms, train teachers, and ensure that education can withstand the challenges of poverty, conflict, and disease. Every dollar you give is a step towards a more educated, empowered, and independent Africa.

Your donation to Asante Africa Foundation supports a child’s education and provides opportunities to thrive in their community, achieve their dreams, and succeed in the 21st century.

In East Africa schools start in January, and the donations we receive by the end of the calendar year will help boost our efforts immediately. Your charitable donations allow our youth to acquire learning materials such as computers, textbooks, uniforms, and hygiene products.

Being able to simultaneously give charitable donations while helping yourself with a charitable donation tax deduction allows there to be a win-win. As American author Stephen R. Cover famously said, “Win-win is a belief in the Third Alternative. It’s not your way or my way; it’s a better way, a higher way.”

Here at Asante Africa, we want to encourage charitable donations as 2023 comes to an end. And in the same breath, take that charitable tax deduction!
