Raising Rabbits and a Business

Isingoma (age 15, Uganda) is a student at Ssingo Secondary & Vocational School who has been inspired to start his own rabbit rearing project by the rabbit keeping at his primary school. The Leadership and Entrepreneurship Incubator has equipped Isingoma with the skills he needs for his business to expand and make a profit.

He runs his rabbit rearing business with ease since he only needs to provide the rabbits with grass on a free range. He purchases young rabbits for 5,000 Ugandan shillings(UGX) then in just 4-5 months, they mature and he sells them at 18,000 UGX for a profit. His experience motivates him to encourage youth in his community to start their own businesses.
