Sewing Face Masks for Their School, Tanzania
July 30 2020
In partnership with Asante Africa, the students and alumni in Orkolili Secondary School produced 3000 face masks for students to use while attending school, as directed by the government. The Secondary School bought the sewing machines, while Asante Africa bought the necessary materials from local shops. Asante Africa alumni, regional coordinators, and current students vol- unteered their time and skills to create these masks, each mask costing approximately 800 Tanzanian Shillings. They gave 5 masks per student and distributed them in their local communities.
