Once in a Lifetime: The Story of Betty

Betty, a bright and ambitious student, has overcome numerous challenges to pursue her education. Born into a low-income family, she faced significant barriers to accessing quality education. However, with the support of Asante Africa Foundation’s one-time scholarship, Betty was able to continue her studies and achieve her academic goals. 

Betty’s mother, a single parent with multiple children, struggled to make ends meet. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t afford to pay for Betty’s education. As a result, she considered having Betty drop out of school to help support the family financially. However, Betty was determined to pursue her education and dreams.

Without the financial support of Asante Africa Foundation’s one-time scholarship, Betty would have had to abandon her studies. However, with this lifeline, she was able to continue her education without worrying about tuition fees. This relief allowed her to focus on her studies and excel academically.

Betty has had plenty to say about the opportunity granted to her by Asante Africa:
