Onesmus Consults on Best Piggery and Cattle Practices
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Onesmus was extremely active in community learning groups. His persistence on our staff meeting his group despite being located in a distant area has led him to be one of the most successful students to go through our Youth Livelihood Program.
However, before joining the Asante Africa Foundation club at his school, Onesmus developed an interest for entrepreneurship and started rearing chicken and pigs at his home. The knowledge acquired from the club empowered him with skills like resilience, good communication skills, customer care among others which enabled him to expand from piggery to cattle keeping.
His love for entrepreneurship deepened beyond a personal experience, as Onesmus is now a consultant in his village. He guides fellow youth on better piggery and cattle practices, business skills such as customer care, effective communication, and leadership.
