youth empowermentZipporah is a female student from a Primary School in rural Kenya and an alumna of our Wezesha Vijana Program. Participating in the program taught her personal values, entrepreneurship, time management, and leadership skills. As a result, she started making reusable sanitary pads to use as an alternative to disposable sanitary pads. She sells each reusable sanitary pad at KES. 50 and uses the money to cater to her basic needs.

She has also trained two of her friends at her Primary school on how to make reusable sanitary pads, and together they teach other willing students in their school, including boys too.
