Shamim is a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional with five years of work experience in both profit and non-profit sectors. Shamim began her career as an account assistant and administrator at Coco Beach Malind. Shamim interned at the Kenya Red Cross Society, where she interned under the finance office at Global Fund. Shamim basically eats, sleeps and breathes grant management accounting. She is super excited to be at Asante Africa Foundation in Kenya, currently as a project accountant.
In addition to core accounting competencies, Shamim is experienced at community engagement and accountability aspects of a humanitarian program and offers psychosocial support and care. Sharmim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Accounting Option from Moi University in Eldoret and is a Certified Public Accountant II holder. She aspires to become a CPA certified accountant and eventually a successful auditor.
