Benard brings over four years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting, Audit, and Project Management. He transitioned to Asante Africa Foundation Tanzania from KCB Bank Tanzania and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA) in Dar es Salaam. Ambitious and dedicated, he aims to transform lives through community health initiatives and address social challenges by fostering relationships with donors and stakeholders to promote self-reliance and financial stability. He is currently pursuing CPA certification.

Benard began his career at FINCA Microfinance Bank in Dar es Salaam, where he led a team in recovering outstanding loan assignments for a year. He then moved to KCB Bank Tanzania, where he specialized in leading youth project coordination, grants management, financial reporting, and project management and planning for three years.

Loibon Masingisa Kotete is a seasoned Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Associate at Asante Africa Foundation-Tanzania, bringing over 6 years of expertise in driving strategic management across education, health, and livelihoods empowerment initiatives. With a specialized focus on MEAL systems, he has consistently excelled in designing and executing comprehensive monitoring frameworks, leading data collection efforts, and steering evaluation  processes to deliver measurable and impactful outcomes. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Education in Economics and Mathematics and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Open University of Tanzania. His leadership has been highly recognized through his appointments as Acting Senior MEAL Manager and Acting Country Director, where he ensured seamless operations and alignment with strategic goals. Additionally, Loibon has provided  consultancy for over 10 organizations in MEAL system development and has contributed to writing project  proposals with a 67% success rate. 

Fluent in English, Kiswahili, and Maasai, Loibon has demonstrated expertise in cross-border project coordination and has represented the Asante Africa Foundation at prestigious forums throughout East Africa. His passion for empowering rural youth and promoting collaboration is reflected in his work, particularly through  programs set to impact over 100,000 young people by 2025, equipping them with essential education and life skills.

Dickson is a passionate and talented young man who has been involved in volunteering to help in improving the livelihood of less privileged groups within his community and beyond. His enormous passion to solve challenges within his community and the world motivated him to offer his time and energy by volunteering with different civil societies, such as the Youth Leadership Club-YLC, Illovo and Tanzania STEM Network.

Having been an alumnus of Asante Africa Foundation, Dickson’s involvement at the organization ignited his drive for leadership, community influence, and education. His experience in this organization became the turning point in shaping his career and aspirations. He attained a Bachelor’s degree in Market and Public Relations at the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy, TIA, and gave him a strong base concerning communication, outreach, and strategy.

He presently works as a Digital Transformation Coordinator with much enthusiasm in using technology for impact. Through this love for technology, Dickson has founded Techlift Group to teach the youth in Tanzania about technology. This is where he equips the young with what they require to successfully thrive in a digital world. From here, innovations and development in society are born.

Dickson aims to make a difference and has remained able to use his public relations and technology leadership skills in shaping and contributing positively to his community. This is one of those less common examples showing the power of passion combined with education and technology for social good.

Florence Thomas John is a passionate and dynamic leader serving as the Country Manager for Asante Africa Foundation Tanzania. With a Bachelor of Arts in Education and extensive experience in youth development, she has been a driving force behind empowering young people to embrace digital transformation and take action against climate change. Her work with organizations like GLAMI and Asante Africa Foundation has had a profound impact on youth, particularly in helping them develop leadership skills and awareness of global challenges.

Florence is also an award-winning advocate for women and girls’ rights, having received recognition and certifications for her commitment to supporting their career growth and empowerment. As a dedicated career mentor, she has guided many young women to realize their potential and achieve their professional goals. Her passion for social impact, combined with her expertise in program management and advocacy, makes her a powerful voice for change and a true champion for youth and gender equality.

Kelvin Shoo is the Program Lead for the Youth Livelihood Program at Asante Africa Foundation in Tanzania. He also serves as the marketing lead for Tanzania. Kelvin began his journey with Asante Africa as a volunteer, dedicating a year to the LEI program and Wezesha Vijana, during which he increased his skills in Microsoft Office, report writing, presentations, and leadership.

In 2022, he transitioned into an intern role, further expanding his knowledge in various organizational functions, including marketing. Passionate about working with youth and transforming lives, Kelvin is deeply committed to empowering young people, aligning with the mission and vision of Asante Africa Foundation. His dedication drives his efforts to help youth reach their full potential and contribute to the organization’s goal of educating children and transforming the world.

Charles L. Losipu is a Finance and Administration Associate with over five years of experience in financial management and operations. With a Diploma in Accounting, he has a strong background in bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the finance department, Charles is instrumental in supporting the team with procurement processes, ensuring that all purchases are cost-effective and align with organizational needs. 

In addition to his financial expertise, Charles also plays a vital role in event planning and logistics, coordinating resources to ensure smooth and successful execution of events. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence enable the organization to achieve value for money and operational efficiency. Charles is dedicated to supporting the team in achieving its goals and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Magdalena Leonard Kitinya is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in youth empowerment, mentoring, and program management. She currently serves as a Regional Coordinator at Asante Africa Foundation Tanzania, where she implements digital learning programs, and ensures effective communication across multiple districts.

With over three years of experience in program leadership, Magdalena has worked in various capacities, including as a consultant, data enumerator, and program manager for the Girls Livelihood and Mentorship Initiative (GLAMI). Her achievements span from mentoring young girls, developing educational curriculums, to designing workshops that promote leadership and life skills. Magdalena also has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Royal Boutique.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) from Tumaini University Makumira and is passionate about education as a tool for transformation and social impact.

Richard Mabala was born British but moved to Tanzania as a volunteer in 1973 and became a Tanzanian citizen in 1982. In his varied career he has been a teacher, lecturer, NGO activist and UNICEF programme officer. He has built a solid reputation for himself as a public intellectual for his work in community engagement, participatory action research, youth development, gender transformation and educational innovation, hence his commitment to Asante Africa. Currently he is using his experience to work with Annagrace Rwehumbiza in Her Dignity Consult. He is also well known as a writer of children’s books, training manuals, young adult novels and satirical columns in the newspaper.

Rita Kahurananga is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in leadership, business development, marketing, strategic planning, and social impact investment across both the private and non-profit sectors. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management and serves on four Boards: Light of Hope Tanzania, Asante Africa Foundation, Youth Dream Initiative, and Women Fund Tanzania Trust.

Rita began her career in the private sector from 1992 to 2002, working with companies like South African Airways, Kaymac Rotomoulder, and Protea Hotels. She transitioned into leadership roles in both corporate and non-profit organizations, notably serving as National Director for SoS Children’s Villages from 2010 to 2013, where she was honored with the Chief Executive Round Table (CEOrt) public-service partner of the year award.

A leadership fellow at the Africa Leadership Initiative East Africa (ALI-EAF), she is currently the CEO of Mulika Afrika Initiative (MAI) and the Sole Proprietor of Kageni Consulting. Her consulting work has honed her expertise in strategic planning, project management, leadership, organizational development, and policy analysis, benefiting a range of clients including AMSCO, SOS Children’s Villages Denmark and Tanzania, the British Council, GIZ Tanzania and Zambia, UNICEF, UN IOM, UN Women, and Habitat for Humanity.

Daniel is a Management guru and Trainer with 20 years of experience. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Strategic Management, Business Plans Development, Operations management Program/Project Management & Evaluation, Policy formation and Analysis, Organizational Design and Restructuring, Leading and Managing Change.

Daniel has worked for Various Organizations including World Vision Tanzania where he worked as Program Manager (2yrs) Tropical Pesticides Research Institute (TPRI) worked as Head of Human Resources & Administration (7yrs), ActionAid Tanzania worked as Head of Human Resources, Organizational Development & Support services (6yrs). He also served as Board Member for Tanzania Chamber of Commerce for Arusha Region. He is currently serving as Chief Consultant and C.E.O for DLM Global Business and Management Consulting. He holds MBA, B.com and Diploma in Business Administration and Management.

Risha is Director at JustSystems, an exploratory initiative to bolster support for public systems change. She is also founder and managing director of Kiungo, a civil society support consultancy. Previously, Risha led advocacy and engagement work at Twaweza East Africa for over 10 years where she was responsible for oversight of all content produced by Twaweza and designing, refining and implementing advocacy strategies across the region. 

Prior to that she helped to build the Communications Department for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation to generate debate on governance and leadership across the continent. She has close to 20 years of experience working on communications for governance in the African context. Risha serves on the board of Nafasi Art Space (Chair) and Tanzania Bora Initiative (Chair).

Catherine is the head of Internal Audit Unit at Dar es Salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) – Tanzania, where she leads risk assessment, risk mitigation strategies, internal audit planning, and compliance monitoring while supporting the university’s mission in teaching, learning, and research for sustainable development. With over 14 years of experience in risk-based audit, financial management and compliance Catherine has worked across both government entities and the non-profit sector. She is known for enhancing Organizational performance by designing compliance frameworks and systems, while fostering a culture of integrity, operational efficiency and strategic governance in every organization she serves.

Catherine is an associate certified public accountant in public practise (ACPA –PP) and holds an MBA and BBA. She is an active member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors, Tanzania (NBAA) & the Institute of Internal Auditors, Tanzania Chapter.

Beyond work, Catherine enjoys reading inspirational books, parenting, mentoring, speaking engagements, community services and she is passionate of financial literacy helping others make informed financial decisions.

Rachel is a lawyer with a strong background and expertise in data protection law, investment law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), digital and tech law, and regional data governance frameworks in Africa. She has worked in project development and implementation in data governance, striving for improved data practices and governance across Africa. Outside of work, she is a well-versed legal author, public speaker and developing expert in mediation and arbitration, holding certification in Fundamentals of Effective Negotiation from the Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom.

She also serves in different membership capacities – under the Project Management Institute (Tanzania and Global Chapter), Tanzania Women Lawyers Association and the Tanzania Privacy Professionals Association. Annually, she also volunteers as a Judge and Coach under the International Law Student Association (ILSA) for law students who compete in the Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
